Can we all just go ahead and agree that Gwen Stefani’s heartbreaking new song “Used to Love You” is AMAZING!!! The extremely personal lyrics are obviously the direct result of her high profile divorce from ex-husband Gavin Rossdale. Heartbreak may not be best for the heart, but boy do they make for top-notch songwriting material! Gwen recently revealed the song and dubbed it as the official lead single from her forthcoming album that she’s been working on. Apparently the album which she had already recorded with that contained the lackluster tracks “Baby Don’t Lie” and “Spark The Fire” has been completely scrapped and she’s been recording a new record that feels “right” to her. Gwen found major success with a song she wrote about a prior failed relationship with her No Doubt mega-hit “Don’t Speak” and something tells me this new breakup ballad will fair well for her as well!
